My Girls

I can't believe it has been 7 wks already since Addie joined our family and life couldn't be more hectic. I am trying to enjoy all of it cause I now that it wont last forever. The most challenging is my sweet little Taylee, she is my most busiest child it is hard to sit down and even nurse Addie without Taylee getting into something she knows shes not suppose to do. We have learned to lock all doors and hang a key next to them in the house, or else I would need to buy soap, lotion, toothpaste every week, not to mention she tries to shave and also load up the toilet with toilet paper, oh yeah laundry detergent too she scatters that all over the floor or tries to get my dog gizzy to eat it. She learned to take her diaper off, she would like to go in the toilet but cant stand to sit there very long, so that gets to be taped on. But oh how she loves the baby she just cant stop kissing her (Taylee has the sweetest little kisses she will give pretty much anyone one if they are leaving) Taylee has already tried to get baby out of swing, has succeeded at getting her off the couch and has climbed into bed with her. I cant let my eye off her.
Kaylyn has just finished the first quarter of school, she is doing pretty good but needs to work on reading. She has been such a big helper when she is home with Taylee she will play with her it is just hard with the age difference.
Addie is my precious she has been such a good baby. She is fussy at night for a couple of hours but then she only wakes up once in the night so that is great all my other girls were always up way late and then up 2-3 times a night. At her 1 month visit she had gained 3 pounds and had grown exactly 1 inch. Shes a chunk!

Labor and Delivery

2 weeks ago tonight I went into labor, The girls were in bed it was only 8:00 but I was sooo tired from getting up at 4:30 that morning to get Cliff off to the valley for his apt. so I went to bed and in my light sleep I started to feel some mild cramping going on. I awoke at 10:00 to a little contraction and laid there to see if I would have another, and 10 min later I would. When Cliff came to bed at 11 I told him about them, I wasn't too concerned though since usually when I really go into labor the contractions are at their worst. I just tried to go back to sleep, but of course couldn't because I kept thinking of everything we would need to get ready to go to the hospital, get the cameras, get the girls up and packed to go to g-ma Williams, make sure I got Kaylyns homework, her lunchbox and so on. I finally got into the jacuzzi might as well get in one more before it is weeks before I could again. At 1:30 I got out and started timing my contractions (cliff is just sleeping away). I decided to wake Cliff up and see what he thinks we should do because the contractions still aren't bad and not getting too close together. We decide that it would be best to get up there and get my penicillin going since I tested positive for GBS this time, make sure it has time to get into my system for the babys sake.
We load up everything, drop the girls off, have to stop for gas, and we were on our way. (contractions still the same) We slowed down to see all the elk that were on the side of the road, not in a real hurry to get there. Finally we arrived about 3:30 am get all hooked up on the monitors, fill out the paperwork, answer all the questions and they finally check me and I'm only at a 2. They call Dr. and he says to keep me I'm 39 and 1 day he'd be in to brake my water when he comes in for a c-section at 7:30. So in goes the iv at 4 and will have to have another dose at 8. Contractions still are manageable, the weird thing was that when I would get up and walk to try and help things along the contractions would get further apart, so tried out the ball and that helped.
They asked what I wanted for pain relief and of course I wanted the epidural, they told me that I would have to get it at 7 or else the annisteseologist (sp) would be in with the c-sections for at least an hour and a half, would have to wait until 9 for it, I told them I would take it before, wouldn't want to chance having the contractions get worst before I could get it. I got the epidural at 7 and was loving it, still had not dilated much.
After about an hour I started to feel contractions on my left side, we had the annisteseologist(sp) come back he gave me another dose of med, but it didn't work. I got my other dose of penicillin at 8, Dr came at 9 to brake my water, only dilated to a 7. We had to laugh because I was suppose to have a apt at 9 that morning, but instead he was braking my water. After that I could really feel the contractions on the left side.
Mom and Brian showed up, we thought for sure I would go fast once water broke. Instead we got to hangout and talk for the next 2 and a half hours. They checked me after 11 and said ok we are calling Dr. YEAH finally. Although I was ready to have this baby I was scared to death because I had never felt the pain. Dr shows up at 11:30 preps and after 2 good pushes out she came, thank goodness. I did it the one thing I never thought I would live through I did a natural child birth.
It is always such a relief to get your baby here, to see all 10 toes, 10 fingers and nothing wrong, just a perfect little angel put into your arms to love and to hold and kiss.
Addie has been so wonderful she sleeps so good and when she is awake she is so quiet and wide eyed. But boy do I have my hands full with Taylee she loves to kiss and wants to hold her all the time, and trying to explain to a 22 month old that sister is eating and that she'll have to wait is hard, I think she gets back at me by sneaking off and getting into the laundry detergent and scattering it all over the ground, or getting into the shampoo and her latest is taking her diaper off, I think she would like to potty train but it is kind of hard to right now for me,although it would be nice. She has already climbed into bed with her, The only relief I get is when Taylee is napping or her dad or someone else is around to keep her occupied. Kaylyn just thinks Addie is the cutest thing and also enjoys to hold her when she can.

This is LIFE

On Aug 12th Cliff was at work, working on a chevy when he moved a certain way he heard and felt a loud pop in his back (where the hardware is) he sat down and moved around nothing hurt so he went back to work but then something starting squeaking and moaning in the back, he decided to come home. He comes in and I can hear him when he walks he sounded like an old wood floor. We decide to go to the ER and get x-rays make sure nothing horribly bad happened.
He gets the x-rays and we wait for the results and they come in and say everything looks great with the hardware, ok so what is up with the noise when he walks. They listened to him walk and they don't know.
The next day (13th) we call his surgeon to see what he wants us to do, well just send the x-rays and let him see them. they got sent the same day.
The 14th call to see if they had received them, NO. so the weekend goes by.
The 17th call to see if they received them, YES but the dr hasn't looked at them yet.
The 18th dr still hasn't looked at them.
The 19th they call, Dr. said everything looks great. ok so what do we do he makes a squeaking noise when he moves. With plenty of rest and med everything should be ok. Well for the past wk that is all cliff has done, something is wrong he want to see the Dr. we could get you in on OCTOBER 6th. Are you kidding something not right. well Cliff finally got upset yelled at the nurse to have the Dr. call him himself.
The 20th at 9:30 that night the Dr. calls Cliff explains what happened, Dr says get a CT and come and see him, the nurse will call the next day to set it up
The 21st nurse calls gets him a CT scheduled and a apt to see Dr. in valley on Tues Aug 25th. Amazing what can be accomplished by getting straight to the Dr.
We are hoping and praying that the Dr. can figure out what happened and what we can do to fix this, and that I don't have a baby until he gets back from the valley. It's hard to not be able to go with him, but I also now that I don't want to have the baby down there either.

Pregnancy note:
Every where I go somebody tells me that I just look miserable, well guess what I AM I am soooo ready to have this baby, see what she looks like if she is more like Kaylyn or Taylee. We still don't have any idea on what to name this one ( any ideas).

Back to School

Kaylyn started 1st grade today! She has been excited all summer to go back since she gets to go all day this year. But I think I was more ready than her because she needs something to do all the time to keep her happy.
